• Welcome to Cold Climate HVAC & Energy 2025, the 12th International SCANVAC Cold Climate Conference, to be held in Harbin, China, from August 6-8, 2025.

We are pleased to announce that the 12th International Conference on Cold Climate HVAC & Energy is to be held in in Harbin, China, from August 6-8, 2025.

The conference is organized by Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT). Founded by SCANVAC in 1994, the Cold Climate conference series has been held biennially since 2021. Sustainability and digitalization have emerged as critical issues in today’s societal development. Building on SCANVAC’s traditional focus on HVAC system performance and healthy indoor climates, this year’s conference introduces new topics, including renewable energy and sustainable district heating and cooling.

We welcome all contributions! The conference will feature keynote presentations, invited talks, and panel discussions. We are now calling for high-quality, original academic papers in English from scientists and technologists worldwide. The main topics include: renewable and waste energy utilization, sustainable district heating and cooling, heat pumps, smart energy systems, and zero-energy buildings. Accepted submissions must be presented at the conference and will be published in the conference proceedings. Selected papers from CCHVAC & Energy 2025 will be recommended for further consideration in SCI-indexed special issues.

We look forward to weelcoming you to CCHVAC & Energy 2025 in Harbin!
